Don't underestimate kids creativity! Can't Post

This was posted to about.com, but deleted, in the hosts hissy fit. I love kids, and teaching them can be one of the greatest pleasures. Can you understand why she'd delete this post?

It was in reply to a few suggestions on working with kids, and some project ideas, and how kids always amaze you, no matter what you plan.

I agree! Don't under estimate them.

But do go in with some basic projects first, and then work up as they show the interest.

Not all groups work the same way, or have the same interests.

If you start simple, you'll be amazed at what they will do with it.  That age group has a lot of creativity, and in todays world with video games, pre-packaged fun, and no free thinking, they have no way to express it.

Just give them an opportunity, and you won't believe it.
