BeadBlogger Can't Post

I'm in the middle of writing a blogging program to integrate with the sofware we use here and on our other sites. I'm really hoping to have an alpha/beta release by monday. I already have most of the "grunt" work done, it's now a matter of developing features and linking in features.

What I'm looking for is a list of bead blogs or beader blogs you might visit, to include in the initial lists and tests of the announce features, and to list the other blogs as links.

Once this program is finished, you'll be able to set up your own Bead Blog, right now for free, or you can purchase the software and run your own Bead Blogger on your own site.

This program is the first version of a more generalized Blogging program, TheJollyBlogger which is the end goal. But I would like to run a smaller, targeted, community-type bead blog within our bead network.

Re: [pugdog] BeadBlogger [In reply to] Can't Post

Wow! What a response! <sigh>

Beaders seem to be an awefully SILENT group as a whole.

I took a minor diversion in this program, rather than building the whole thing at once, I worked on a sub-part that has other uses. A "comment" system. In addition to the "review" and "rating" system, that is already built in, the comments system will give some extra features for customization, as well as a slightly different "bent" on the issue. A comment can be anything related to the thing being commented on, directly, tangentially, or totally in a different direction. A review is pretty much (or should be) about the thing being reviewed.

While the interface may not look different, what's under the hood is.

I'll be hooking this up on http://BetterBeading.com and http://BetterBeads.com (and other sites) very, very soon.

The http://RockStrology.com site has been delayed a bit, but is moving along. I just really didn't want to open it with no content, but I think I will end up doing that, and let it fill in as it goes along. This is a site for rocks, crystals and minerals, but all the "other" properties people ascribe to them. You'll be able to review, comment and rate each of the entries, and comments/corrections will be incorporated into the larger whole.

Not quite a 'wiki' but similar.
