Discount Program / Customer Loyalty

We've been working for awhile (long time) on a program that makes sense for both the customers and us. Simple discounts don't work, they fail to generate customer loyalty, especially for the small purchaser.
Discounts without generating loyalty, work against everyone, since rather than providing a more solid base for the shop to build upon, it erodes the base as people shop the 'sales'.
Our goal in creating a loyalty program was to create a program that is fair and balanced for all levels of purchasers, with the effect of getting people to come in more often, and spend more money with us, rather than elsewhere or mail order.
This in turn helps everyone by allowing us to get more beads in, and negotiate better deals with the suppliers.

It may need a bit of fine tuning, but it seems to cover all the bases without "Giving away the shop" or leaving the small scale beader out.
1) Frequent Beader Card. $20, free with $100 or more purchase.
Replacement cards $10, original card voided.
At least 10% off on beads.
20% off on Japanese Seed Beads
20% off on beading wire and findings.
Minimum purchase $20, otherwise, 5% discount applies.
2) Wholesale Card. Tax ID Required.
An additional 10% off on orders over $60
Access to wholesale ordering and special orders.
Bulk Discounts.
Initial $150 purchase required. (Or $200 in accumulated reciepts)
(Can include special orders)
3) VIP Card:
$100 minimum purchases, no discounts for purchases under $100.
A fairly flat 30% discount or better on all beading items.
$250 initial purchase, or store credit required to open.
$50 store credit required - if falls below $50 for 60 days, the
account will be closed, and gift certificate issued.
Maintain a $100 store credit, and no minimum purchase required.
Great for Groups or Clubs with an authorized purchaser list.
No Tax ID required, but you'll be liable for sales taxes.
No cards issued, ID must be presented each time.
OPTION: One card issued
If lost, $20 replacement, original card voided.
You are liable for all charges/purchases made
with the card until we are notified. Your maximum
liability is the total amount of your store credit.
4) Everyone Else:
Keep your reciepts. Only reciepts without a bonus card discount
noted are eligible.
$100 or more in purchases -- $10 gift certificate.
$250 or more in purchases -- $30 gift certificate.
($101-$249 in purchases, 2 - $10 gift certificates.)
If you have over $250 in reciepts, you should have one of our
discount card programs.
